In the durational performance Solo A, the audience is faced with a spectral body navigating a hybrid environment comprised of Artificial Intelligence and human pathos, generating a haunting merge between the two. A close, prolonged association between desire and detachment, connection and isolation, vitality and mortality, ambiguity and certainty occurs. In what seems like a crossing from the human to the avatar, the performing entity produces a dynamic somatic landscape of disjointment, disorientation and derealization. A single body procures the ability to split into mirrored versions of itself, and perform its desired idealities. Thus, from within the realm of technology and media fatigue emerges profound human concern. The machine becomes the means of human inward reflection.
